This web site has been created by Bostjan Burger. It is the massive panaromic virtual guide of Slovenia, consisting of 2213 panoramas and over 7000 photos. Started in 1996, the site is continually updated with new material throughout the year. The goal of the site is "to display the cultural and natural heritage of Slovenia with interactive Virtual Reality Panoramas".

It has an impressive array of interactive maps of Slovenia categorized thematically of the following:
museums, castles, towns and regions, caves, waterfalls. The maps are entry points to: large photos, 360 degree panoramic views and brief descriptions of the many landmarks. in Slovenian and English, accompanied by links to more web sites.
The author reveals the multitude of beautiful features of the Slovenian countryside with the collection of photos and maps. It is indeed a showcase of the wealth of natural and historic features of Slovenia today.

The section and guide to the caves, with the maps of the larger cave systems and virtual guides, are a most informative introduction to the magnitude of the caves of Slovenia. The section Land of Waterfalls presents a marvellous tour of the natural world. Many details and photos are provided about waterfalls; including a chart provided by the author of the varying accessibility of the waterfalls. There are over 300 permanent waterfalls in Slovenia. The section evokes a magical quality of this phenomenon.
This virtual guide reveals much about the beauty and heritage of Slovenia - have a look. The virtual tour will have to do until the opportunities for the real tours are taken. Slovenia is not far!
