The club was established in 1991 and began to publish the monthly bulletin Slovenija on the Gold Coast. The aim of the club is to enable Slovenes to meet , and to participate in the cultural activities of Slovenian clubs in Australia and so maintain our awareness and belonging to a Slovenian national community. The other aim is to be able to present ourselves as an autochthonous ethnic group and so affirm our presence in a multicultural population.Bocce Centre "Planinka"
