Comparison
Slovenian, as English, forms comparatives in two ways:
1. the comparative is formed with the word bolj (more), and superlative with najbolj (most)
bel bolj bel najbolj bel
2. the comparative is formed with suffixes, which are -ejši - si and -ji; the superlative is formed by adding the prefix naj- onto the comparative. Polysyllabic adjectives form the comparative by means of -ejši (ljubezniv - ljubeznivejši). but memorize the following forms:
boga't
-bogatéjši do'lg -da'ljši drag -dražji dêbel -debeléjši do'ber -bo'ljši globo'k -glo'bljikrêpek
-krepkéjši lép -lépši lahek -la'žji no'v -novéjši ma'jhen -ma'njši nizek -nižji pocéni -cenéjši mla'd -mla'jši o'zek -o'žji réven -révnejši sla'b -sla'bši vélik -véčji sta'r -staréjši širo'k -ssiršiviso'k
