Language courses in Slovenia
LjubljanaThere is a range of courses for study of Slovenian, provided by the University of Ljubljana, at The Centre for Slovene as a Second/Foreign Language, Faculty of Arts.
The Centre for Slovenian as a Second/Foreign Language offers a one year Slovenian language course, which begins in October. Applicants have a choice of short courses, a half-year course, short winter and summer school, afternoon courses and personal tuition.

Distance Slovenian
The Centre for Slovene launched a distance language course in June 2006, for three ability levels: beginners, intermediate and advanced. The course and program details, and audio visual materials are on view.

Slovene Language Summer Course on the Slovenian Coast, Koper
An annual two week summer course organized by the Science and Research Centre of Koper and the Faculty of Humanities Koper at the University of Primorska, it has run for thirteen years. Afternoon workshops are offered on Slovenian language and culture: history, folklore, folk music, literature, theatre and film.

Scholarships
The Ministry for Education and Sport RS offers scholarships for participation in university courses. Applications with a short biography, with a recommendation by a Slovenian association are requested.

Slovenian at universities
Slovenian is taught as a foreign language at over fifty universities outside of Slovenia. There are various options for undergraduate, postgraduate students, and external participants.
